Montessori is a systematic approach to the education of children which is named after its founder Dr. Maria Montessori; it is not just a method of education; rather it is a philosophy which recognizes that children are guided by an inborn natural process of growth. This means that the work of the adult is to respond to the child’s need by removing the obstruction to this unfolding and in doing so makes education ‘An Aid to Life’.
The Montessori approach to education has its central thought the development of the human potential. It is an approach based on “following the child”, on recognizing and responding to the development needs of the child. Thus the stages of development through a variety of ages are catered for. Children are able to choose tasks and move through all educational material at their own pace. Montessori education is also considered to be an extension of the home, where parent and teacher work together in guiding the child in cognitive, social, physical, emotional and spiritual development. Montessori education does not simply educate children to accomplish specific tasks but rather educates them for life.Open house happening now from 20th July!

Maria MontessoriThe greatest sign of success for a teacher... is to be able to say, ’The children are now working as if I did not exist.’
